Tesla Ring

We currently have a Tesla Model YLR that we took delivery of June 4th. My husband has ordered a Model 3 (no delivery at this point). My question is if we both get Tesla Rings, will we need to purchase two, one for each Tesla we have?

I have no idea about a tesla ring (since that is a third party device), but I can tell you that one keycard can control 2 teslas. Since I believe they take the chip out of a keycard to make the rings, it will probably work, but thats a question for the company making the ring you want to buy.

I'd assume, like @jjrandorin indicated, that a ring has a unique ID, and it can register for each car. The ring has no "intelligence" (so to speak), each car will see it as a unique NFC device (i.e., you could probably register it with several cars).

Each ring is made with the antenna and chip from an original Tesla keycard, so you only need 1 ring each. 1 ring can be programmed to multiple Teslas.
