“Even Tesla owners who describe themselves as long on the company, or bullish in their investment in it, see the new software as a downgrade. If I’ve learned one thing from Arctic Monkeys’ 2018 release Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, it’s that when your most rabid fans start to sour on your new releases, it’s generally a bad sign.”

I've never considered myself a Tesla "fan," although of course I did buy a Model 3, and even sprang for the FSD package (when it was $5k). I've had the 10.69.2 version for a couple of days now, and it's certainly not an improvement, in my (admittedly very limited) experience. In a drive on Monday, I hit the button to report problems three times, IIRC, over about that many miles of use. To be sure, none of those events was life-threatening -- they were things like the car trying to put itself in the wrong lane for a turn. I didn't bother enabling it at all yesterday. I'd say it's disappointing after all the hype, but I've learned to attach a salt mine to any hype about FSD.

The good news is, per Elon, all of those problems (and more) will be fixed by 12/31/2022 when FSD officially becomes "complete". So there is hope

So far 10.12 is better version than 10.69 from my experience. This latest 10.69.2 is more cautious and arguably worse in handling stop signs, red lights, speed limit changes. I don't really see any real useful improvement over 10.12 (better lane selection for example).
