Totally O/T, but back in late 2017, I was driving just outside this town on the ring road, at night (It was December) in wind that was gusting to 125 km/hr (there is a handy website where you can track the weather around the island) Anyway, a Land Rover Defender driving immediately in front of us was caught by one of these gusts and rolled over multiple times into the ditch. Luckily, there were no serious injuries, but imagine trying to shout "Kirkjubæjarklaustur" as the name of the nearest town to your S/O who is on the phone with emergency services in those same gusting winds.New supercharger opened in Kirkjubæjarklaustur Iceland today.
A town that I assume was named by a cat running across a keyboard
Great to see the pace of supercharger deployment pick up this year. It won’t be long before there are millions of Teslas on the road!
At least I can take a Tesla next time I'm round those parts...
