Aren't software security lockouts illegal in Russia? Effectively, anything that is proprietary about the Tesla Model S computer systems would become public domain if released there. I wouldn't say the cars won't ever go there, but it may take a bit longer than other places. Probably depends a lot upon how things are handled in China.
