Our Williamson County registration process couldn't have gone smoother over the phone, via drop-off, and by mail. We have received our title and permanent plates and it only took about 3 weeks from start to finish, probably just a s fast/faster than pre-COVID based on other car/tax transactions we have performed. Can't speak for other counties, of course, but hope all y'all's go just as smoothly. Zero drama or complaints on the car, the delivery, it's QC (not perfect, but that is the enemy of good enough anyway...), and the documentation/registration process. Love it!

Drive safe, everyone and have a great rest of the week/weekend!

I pinged my account rep this morning since I noticed a VIN a couple days ago and within minutes of sending that e-mail I got the MVPA and confirmation of the VIN. I'm finalizing my insurance and financing, so I'm very close to getting a delivery date now. Need to schedule my electrician to install my charger now. Does anyone from Houston have a good PPF/Tint installer? Just found out mine retired! He gave me a reference but I'm interested in others possibly. I'll update when I get a delivery date but it looks like Tesla is finally moving on the backlog of orders. Hooray!

I remember reading in some thread here you were un-sure about your trade in. What ended up happening with that?

They kept the original quote. It didn't change, so I assume it was still go or didn't get reevaluated. Maybe I'm lucky and my car's value hasn't changed in that time. The quote from Tesla was lower that I wanted but when I started checking around I couldn't find anything higher including CarMax. I'm trying to get all paper work wrapped up today so I hopefully get a delivery date set soon.

Did my daily morning routine with my coffee looking for a VIN through source code search and BAM! Got a VIN for an AWD white/black interior with 20s no FSD ordered 3/24/20. Now the real anticipation sets in as I wait for a delivery date and crossing my fingers my trade in quote stays the same.

Congrats! Same specs here. Glad to see more of these specs coming out

Dallas area. White/Black AWD, FSD. Originally ordered a RWD last year. (basically, default + FSD)

Got a VIN last week (5/25), BofA loan funded this past Friday. Yesterday (5/30) delivery specialist transferred RN to Dallas service center for delivery. Delivery currently scheduled for Sat 6/6. Hope to hear from service center early this week that it will be ready sooner!

Logged into my account this morning and a delivery date was set (6/13). I didn’t pick it. It just showed up. Curious if anyone else has seen that happen. I got an email from the delivery manager in Houston saying the car is awaiting transport, but nothing about a date/time.

I'm still waiting on my delivery date. My account rep asked for confirmation on my loan and I e-mailed my loan officer at Alliant to send the funding information to my account rep. That was Friday afternoon. I hope I get something soon. At this point I'm not sure what the next step is. I know they need the payment before they ship.

In other news.... I went to the Houston Galleria and test drove a Model Y today. It is a dual motor with the 20 inch wheels. Drove it to my house and back and I have to say I don't have any buyers remorse. It is everything I expected. Can't wait to get mine. Pic of the car is below, it was MSM with black interior. I have to say, I'm so glad I waited and didn't get the M3. I love the seating position and the room in the car. The M3 always seemed a bit tight on the inside for me. The Y has plenty of room for 4 people. You can easily road trip with 4 in this car, but I have to say that 5 people would only be good for shorter drives. Storage space is bountiful. The ride was better than my current ride (16 Acura RDX) and handling was awesome. I also glad I didn't go with the Performance model as the Dual Motor acceleration is so much better than what I have now, it would have been a waste of money in my case. One thing I noticed is the tail gate goes up pretty high. Don't open it in a garage until you measure and set the opening height! If you haven't driven it yet, let me know if you have questions.

My Alliant rep told me to email the signed loan docs to Tesla. Got confirmation of funding from Alliant Friday and then from Tesla rep Sunday. I’m tempted to go test drive the Y this week. Did you call them to setup the appointment? Or just show up?
