A warning for the folks taking delivery... be sure the delivery team puts your vehicle inspection form in the glove box. They forgot mine and I'm going to have to go back to the delivery center and pick it up. Not a big deal for me as it isn't that far away but would be a pain for folks that live a ways away from their delivery center. Granted you can have the inspection done by someone else but this would save one more trip. You need this form to register your car with the tax office.
I went with Alliant. They were easy to work with and offered a good rate. I wouldn't say it was the best rate out there at the time but it was competitive.
I took delivery on 30th and no packet as yet. Asked Alesia the Las Vegas advisor twice via email and crickets.
They are probably too busy dealing with the recent price drop and all the folks trying to get their order prices changed.
So my purchase has not gone thru because my CU wants a title guarantee saying that their name will be on the title as lien holder and Tesla says they cannot do that because that is part of registration which I have to do. While on the phone with Tesla, I did ask about the $3,000 price reduction and she said that she would make up a new MVPA reflecting the price reduction. Yahoo.
For financing, I'm going to try Tesla's CU Alliant. Their interest rate is about the same.
My delivery date is 7/17 (Fri) and Tesla says that means the car is in transit (or already there) and thinks we can still make the date pending loan paperwork is complete.

The inspection its registered by VIN with the DMV. That is how I found mine. I'll find out today when I register if I need the paper form but I don't think so. Go to this site and enter your VIN: My TX Car Security Check
I got mine yesterday 7/14. Still on the first temp tag. Registering today at my 4:00 appointment.
Ordered a Model Y (7/14/20) and got my RN number today (7/15/20). No VIN assigned that I could see but I dont expect that in a day.
When I went in my Tesla account to start filling out information, it gave my pick up option of Plano or Ft. Worth. I live 10 minutes from Lovefield airport. No clue why it wont let me choose that service center location for my pickup.
Anyone else have any issues?

We have two service centers in Houston but only the North service center does deliveries. Maybe that is the case for the Dallas area, only Plano and FW? You might try to call one of the delivery centers to see what's up. I called the Houston Westchase service center and was told that deliveries were only done at the North service center.
Which is interesting because I picked up my Model 3 from the service center near Lovefield. Its absolutely possible they only do Model y deliveries to certain locations, but I guess I will have to wait and see (or call and find out)
