It seems to me like you answered your own question. Yes, it's a car - but it's a car that provokes all sorts of conversations and gets people thinking in ways that wouldn't have happened if you had gotten a "typical" car of similar size or price or performance.

Oh no ! The refreshed nose on Ocean Blue (yes leave me alone I'm calling it that) finally grew on me my car, like me, is now old. I await the Autopilot 2.0 to make mine the "classic AP" model

Owning mine has definitely caused me to think and talk about topics I wouldn't have touched on before. It's a catalyst for dialog and hopefully change.
