Yeah, the military really seems to have a thing for series hybrids these days. Something about sneaking up on people...

I saw this one a while back, seems like Quantum Tech is involved? And here's a rather boneheaded ("developing hybrid electric engines" etc.) AP article from a couple years ago, and one from even farther back, in 2003.

If it takes my tax dollars to pay for expensive military programs trying to come up with Electric "Stealth" vehicles, then that's fine with me.

A lot of good products have been invented by Military contractors for the purpose of spying on, disabling or ultimately killing others. Why not let those funds develop our future automotive drivetrains?
