This dude embedded a Tesla key in his hand to unlock his Model 3

Stupid.

Notice how they don't show much of starting the car. Now he has to keep his hand on the cup holder as well.

Phone as key is more hassle free than a Key Card attached to your hand.

So if he ever changes his car he needs new surgery for a new key, bit of a stupid idea and having to place the back of your hand that way round to unlock is not so comfy, palm on would be better, but phone key better unless you lose your phone I guess.

I’m not necessarily against the idea of technology implants, but they need to be upgradeable and updatable before I would even consider it (not to mention tested and proven safe). This guy makes me think of the people who get tattoos all over their face.

As with the Tesla provided key card, it doesn't have to remain on the console or in the cupholder once you've "started" your car.

I didn't do lots of stupid/cheap things online remind/encourage people even must have accessories for model 3-but I bought TSLA shares & it's riding high.

And as is mentioned in that thread, should the person get another Tesla, they could de-authorize the card for the old car and then authorize it for the new car.
