Three "Bongs" Sometimes When Entering

Sometimes, when I get in my MX, I hear three "Bongs" about a second apart. Happened twice today while I was running errands & making multiple stops. I've heard this before many times, and there's never any message displayed when it happens. So I spent about two hours total on hold this afternoon calling the national Tesla number for an answer. BTW, the first call was cut off while I was on hold for the guy to ask someone else, and I had to call again.

The only answer I could get that apparently isn't documented is that this is the car saying it's ready to drive. The second guy was surprised I don't hear it every time I get in the vehicle.

Do others hear this every time they get into drive?

I hear the 3 chimes on occasion too. I always assumed it was related to me inadvertently pressing a key fob button while getting adjusted in my seat. E.g. if the car is in drive and you press one of the door opening buttons on the key fob, it'll chime 3 times (I think).

I think it is the seatbelt chime.

It happens to me when I step on the brake pedal to auto-close the driver's side door before I put on my seatbelt. If I wait & make sure put on my seatbelt before I touch the brake pedal, then I don't hear the bongs.

You should try driving a Volt, the chimes will make you hate the car
