This started to happen recently. I have a 23 MY that has 16k miles. While backing out from my garage, I heard a thump, and felt the jolt. I thought I hit something but I didn't. It almost felt at if the power cut out, but IDK... Any idea? Thanks!
no, as this happens often. Maybe 50% of the times when I back out of my garage while the car had sat for overnight. So this only happens when the car is cold and it happened again this morning and it actually startled me. I heard a loud thump and the car shook like it just came off a small curb. It feels like something is trying to seat itself back into its correct position. I'm gonna try to take video so I can send this to Tesla and hopefully get it fixed.
I would be very leery of driving it anywhere in that condition.
Something is very loose and floating around in your drivetrain. Going forward it stabilizes and going back it slams into another stable spot putting a huge amount of stress on parts.
