The surface layers of Xpel for example can absorb really hard hits but the outer layers of the PPF are damaged. If you are looking for it you can see the small hits. On a windshield these would keep the wipers from working properly... so I could see the need to replace this film every 4 to 6 months which would probably be more expensive than buying a new windshield every year.Nah. Sounds like PPF. But for a windshield.
