Scuff on windshield glass due to rocks

Hey all,

Had a rock fly at my windshield when driving behind a truck.

-clunk-

Scuffed the windshield slap bang in the center.

The glass didn’t crack. It’s a very surface scuff and I can barely feel it when I run my fingers over it.

But I can see it from the inside.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to mask it? Maybe buff it out somehow?

You could try a product like this but maybe its better to call one of the windscreen experts as they all market that they can remove a chip (eg windscreens o’brien)

One thing I like about the following distance of Autopilot is that it forces me to keep a gap larger than what I'd usually like to keep therefore reduces the chance of damages like these.

If it is very minor scuff, try tooth paste, or glass polisher.

I would try a glass replacement company. They must deal with this stuff all the time.

I would just go to someone like OBriens Autoglass and ask them. Maybe even replace it. I think there are regulations re windscreen issues that are within the field of vision that may trigger a insurance windscreen replacement.
