New owner here. Just learned something new. Coming from an MDX the tailgate would actually close even with a minor obstruction. The tailgate would forcibly close itself and latch up. Discovered that it's not the same with my MYP. On a recent road discovered it after I was warned that tailgate was still unlocked.
Just an FYI for all those new owners accustomed to a different outcome. Oh and there's no constant warning chime and after seeing my brothers MYLR tailgate close quickly AF I was not going to attempt to see if it would stop if an obstruction such as "child" or a hand would stop it, but I believe it will as it stopped when I put my hands up on my MYP when it was opening. My MYP does not close as fast as my brother's does.
