Torklift Ecohitch on Model X

Hi,

Has anyone installed the Torklift Ecohitch on their Model X? On torklift’s website, they have the hitch only available for the Model S, and when I called them they said they haven’t made one for the Model X since the Model X come one installed.

Given the weight limitation for the factory installed hitch, I was considering ordering an eco hitch from Torklift. I was wondering if the one for Model S is compatible with the Model X, considering the X and the S share the same chassis, and the gotcha are installed on the chassis.

The only info i can give is that the factory Tow for MX supports a Tongue weight of 500lbs ( max). Anything more you need to use a different Tow. There is post in this forum on using a 3rd party Tow on MX.
