hitch options thoughts

There are two common options for the model Y aside from the factory one:

DrawTite with a 525lbs tongue weight limit: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Tesla/Model+Y/2023/DT58MR.html

Ecohitch with a 350lbs tongue weight limit: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Tesla/Model+Y/2022/EH39FR.html?VehicleID=2022114852

But from looking at the design I can't see how it could actually be that the Ecohitch is worse. Its just a huge square tube right in the middle of crossbar. while draw tite is hanging below the crossbar and looks more fragile if anything. Does anyone know how tongue weight limits are derived? Is DrawTite just being less optimistic or is there some official test that is done?

I wonder if EcoHitch is choosing not to state a number higher than Tesla states. Like, both are class 3 hitches which should have 500lbs limit, right?
