TPMS and Aftermarket Wheels

Hey All,

Got a set of aftermarket wheels and put new tesla TPMS sensors in them but can't seem to get them to talk with the car. I've driven the car over 100 miles, tried to "learn" the pressure using the button in the

Tried to learn using the button on the display in settings as well as fully reset the sensors in the settings, but still all 4 sensors show no pressure and a tpms error warning. Anyone have luck with pairing a new set of TPMS? Car is a 2019, so using 433hz not the Bluetooth ones found in the newer models.

If you got the right TPM sensors they should just work. You sure you got the non-bluetooth ones?

Yes I matched the part number, just read somewhere to try to deflate the tires and then put them back to pressure, going to try that this evening

make sure they are at 42 psi..try selecting a different wheel setup so the system resets and then go back to the appropriate setup size.
then hit the learn tpms button until it works...

took me a few different combinations and attempts but really, a few days go by and then they work.

I change my wheels back and forth twice a year. The car just recognizes them. My guess is wrong part or there is some type of battery tab or switch on the sensors that wasn’t removed/activated prior to install.

I ended up with fake tesla ones, they do not communicate, where did you buy them from?

If this is still an issue then either the sensors weren't programmed properly or the sensors are faulty.

I know this doesnt help your issue right now but these were recommended to me while ago when I bought new wheels. They work perfectly. Swapped wheels multiple times with no issues. Connects within a few miles.

So randomly today 3 of them started working but the rear driver side still won't pair, I guess for now I'll keep driving and hope the last one pairs or just buy one replacement. Thank you all for the help!
