Trade in turnaround time

Yeah. It was "good enough" that I wasn't going to go through the trouble of selling myself. Especially with the PITA that is dealing with plate transfer not in one transaction in NC.
Ditto, because improving my trade, which they offered in 24 hours, would have taken more time than initially qualifying both aircraft and me for Cat 3. Not worth the potential gain for me, especially when my trade reduces the taxable amount for the new car, so is worth 7% more to me anyway.

Going on day 10 since my trade-in status turned yellow and I submitted my trade-in photos and condition info. When I called customer service, they said I had a VIN but couldn't give it to me. What gives?! When am I going to get the call from a delivery advisor??

AWD/MCR/white interior/aeros
4/2/16 reserve
6/28/18 config

Thanks. I guess I need to find my IDA. Is that the next step? So unclear.
You'll get an email or a call from your delivery specialist. They'll ask you not to submit the trade-in or financing stuff until AFTER you've scheduled delivery since the quotes are only good for 30 days.

I, of course, received this email several hours after I filled everything out

Thanks. That’s really helpful. You know a couple of Tesla interns could put together a killer FAQ that would answer so many of our questions. But then these forums wouldn’t be so much fun.

Does anyone know if you can turn your trade in into a different state then the one you are picking up the new car from. ie my car I want to trade is in Wa but I’m picking Model 3 in CA:
i'm pretty confident in saying that you need to have your car with you to trade in when you purchase the car as they will want to inspect it to ensure it is in the condition you stated it was in.

Why can’t the Seattle Tesla inspect it and take it and let me know if the trade in offer is still the same amount. If I’m arranging financing based on the trade in offer I would think they couldn’t change the offer after I get financing and go in to pick up my new car otherwise I will not have enough money to pick up the car on the scheduled delivery time.

I was told that I could trade-in my car at the Kansas City location and take home delivery in Nebraska if I wanted. They would just need my old car before I could get the new one.
