Trunk/boot no longer closing or opening.

2020 Model S, 6 months out of warranty sadly. Closed trunk (empty, no obstacles), did the beep, and got stuck in open position but unable to pull open. Manual release not working either. So much for Tesla's understanding of an emergency release...

Seems to be a fairly common problem?

Isn't the warranty 4 years ?
Liftgate latch and actuator replaced on my 2018 S just one year after taking delivery. No issue since.

Warranty in Australia is 3 years on these things - 8 years on battery and drive train.

AUD556.66 later, this works again. Mobile service fixed it, replaced the liftgate cinching actuator.
