Trunk opens super high and solution

I found a solution for my trunk that opens very high and my garage ceiling being somewhat low.

I installed some pool noodles on garage door so when I open trunk all the way, it doesn't catch on garage door but rather rests against the soft noodles

My trunk doesn't come with the auto opener option so it just opens all the way.

I thought you can set the opening height on the model S?

you can. you manually move it to the height you want. then HOLD the button on the trunk. I think it has some beeps then.

my bad, i just saw that this trunk is manual.

Though your charger looks to be setup for parking like you do.

I have that implemented too. I couple of other options...
1) use pipe insulation found at Home Depot. Some versions will stick on the garage better than noodles because of the build in tape
2) use those old blue camping sleeping pads and staple them to the garage door. They open and close like an accordion and give FULL coverage unlike just covering the metal like the OP pic.
