UMC - charging cable not locked

I've gotten this error message a couple of times... wondering if anyone else has experienced it.

I plug the UMC into my car, either on its own in my garage, or with the 1772 adapter at a public station.

The cable makes the "locking" click, and the car starts charging. However:

1. The flashing light is more of a yellow than a green color.
2. The dashboard gives me a "charging cable not locked" warning.
3. The car DOES charge, but at a reduced rate.

In each case, the solution was to stop charging, remove the cable, then reinsert.

Any idea what's going on there? Seems like if the cable isn't locking, the car shouldn't charge at all... but it is... sort of...

I've had the same problem (including yellow charging light) if I didn't originally insert the cord far enough. Sometimes it feels like you've pushed it in -- but really push on it and it'll slide in further.
