Unable to Add Driver Via Mobile App

Hello everyone! I took delivery of my new Model Y yesterday, and I'm trying to add my partner as a driver. In the app under Security, I click Add Driver, generate the link, and text it out. My partner has already downloaded the app and created his account, but when he clicks the blue button that says "Access Vehicle", nothing happens in the browser. I'm expecting a prompt or something to display to have him Open the Tesla app on his phone. Has anyone experienced this? Am I missing something?

You said nothing happens in the browser. What about in the mobile app?

When I’ve been given access to a rented Tesla (Turo), I don’t remember having to do anything to gain access. I just received an e-mail saying the owner had given me access, and it was there in the app.

I had the same issue as OP and was only able to add driver if I click on the invite link on iPhone. On Android, the link will not open the Tesla app.
