Update for waiting Model 3 buyers

Does anyone know if we're getting VINs assigned now and payment before delivery requested on the dashboard, are we looking at having our cars in the early FEB arrival shipment or the late Feb/Early March one?

Ordered 6th December and would love if I got it Mid Feb, instead of mid March.

I currently have the make payment before delivery page on my dashboard with no public vin assigned but vin finder in source has found the vin

If your VIN is assigned you’ll probably get your invoice soon and then you will (probably) be contacted to tell you a date range when the car will be available.

Just received my "Get Ready For Your Tesla Model 3" email.

Me too. Think there will be a lot of us. Was stoked to hear we get the upgraded processor and li-ion battery instead of lead acid. Banking literally on the clean car discount.

Amp is the best insurance deal at the moment I think

Might depend on location and situation etc, but yes AMP is also best for us in Akl.

Vero and Amp are almost the same thing btw, same company effectively. Vero have 2 years new for old instead of 1 and cover the roof etc under glass replacement.

Never used them but Trademe has a competitive insurance pricing. They are also agreed value.

So Bjorn just tested the new 60kwh LFP model 3, and got 404km range at 90kph.

In the wet, at -3c.

And 289 at 120kph (less relevant to NZ)


Thats a solid chunk higher than the old SR+ at 346/263km

How long was the time between notification of delivery and the earliest time you could book to collect?
