So if I have 1TB does it fills all up and then deletes? How I can record more than 10 minutes and say save whole day? Is it possible? How I can save more clips? Honk all the time? :)
Sentry Mode events captured on video are saved, not deleted unless you manually delete the video recording. Eventually you might fill up the 1TB SSD, then you would not be able to save any more video to the drive without first deleting some of the files or reformatting the drive.

There is no way to continuously record and save all Sentry Mode video. Sentry Mode video is only saved when an event triggers the Tesla vehicle to save the most recent 10 minutes of video.

Honking will save the Dashcam video buffer. I suppose you could sit in the Tesla vehicle and honk the horn every 10 minutes or so. Might get old.

Yes, Tesla now provides a 128GB USB memory stick. The Sales/Service center installs the memory stick in the glove box. The high volume of data write operations with Tesla's Dashcam recording and Sentry mode will quickly damage a standard USB device. For a more reliable, longer life data storage device use an SSD or else a High Endurance (Sandisk) or PRO Endurance (Samsung) MicroSD memory card and a USB adapter.
Hi, I'm not clear on what this means. Are you referring to plugging the Samsung or Sandisk card into a USB adapter, then plugging that adapter into the port in the glove box? Sorry...newbie here.

Yes, using a USB adapter such as the Sandisk Mobilemate USB reader.

The 128GB Sandisk High Endurance microSD card has enough capacity for Dashcam and Sentry mode (~17 hours worth of Tesla video.)

If you feel the need, there is a Sandisk 256GB High Endurance microSD card.

Bundle, USB reader with 256GB High Endurance microSD card:

For even more durability and longevity, Sandisk also sells the Max Endurance microSD card. It is probably overkill.

Thanks, that clears it up nicely! I guess you'd just pop it in the glove box slot ('22 M3P) then format it from the touchscreen?

I had a left over ADATA 256GB SSD I opted to plug in and format. One instant thing I noticed was the lag disappeared. I also felt like the camera quality and consistency was better. I'm going to take it out in a bit and see how it does, and monitor energy use. So far happy with the swap.

Was about to drop 3x for another drive solution I knew would work-and also would have been WAY overkill. Thanks, I did the microSD/reader combo.

Just FYI, if any of us "old folks" with pre-2020 cars, my 3 only has USB A ports in the center storage area, nothing in the glove box or backseats and certainly no fancy new type C connectors.
