USB Hub from Jeda and Taptes

The promises that they'll be shipping soon are comical at this point.

I follow a game that is currently in the Alpha development state. It has been in Alpha for over six years so far. Granted it is a very ambitious project, but one of the jokes surrounding it is that the word "soon" is trademarked by them. :) So everytime someone says "Soon" in a post, they also apply the TM symbol behind it.

I am beginning to put Jeda in that same category. I am convinced that I'll get my MY Hub Soon (TM). I ordered mine in April.

Either dysfunctional, incompetent or outright fraudulent - I ordered a hub for my MY back in June and prepaid - despite several email reminders nothing but unkept promises to ship in first week of September. Totally radio silent on my last reminder. At this point I don't think I will receive the hub and consider the prepayment lost. I will file a case with BBB - just stay away from these guys.

Got my Taptes USB hub today. The casing is slightly too large making it a tough squeeze on the sides, and the USB pins that attach to the car's USB-C and USB-A ports do not appear to be perfectly aligned. I gave up trying to install it into the car after struggling for quite a while.

I found it a little too snug and the port locations the tiniest bit off also. So I kept maneuvering and adjusting, until the usp port finally went in and the usb-c followed. It was a challenge, but worth the effort. Just keep trying. If you have a dremel, gently sanding the sides a tiny bit would probably make it much simpler, but it is that friction that holds it in place. Good luck.

Just got the taptes one today. Only took a minute to install. It’s tight for sure but I guess that makes sense to reduce chances of rattling or coming loose. Everything worked perfectly.
