Used tires on MX??

I can see the attraction, but I wouldn't personally trust the used tyre lottery. I had to have a tyre replaced on mine after less than 500 miles because a large screw went through the tread right at the edge of the sidewall. I can well imagine that tyre getting "repaired" and finishing up being re-sold as used, but it's going to be at risk of a blow-out down the line. So I much prefer having brand new tyres on all my cars, so I know the full history is sound.
