V11 - How to turn on seat heaters without turning on climate?

In V11 is there a way to get to seat heaters WITHOUT turning on the climate control?

Now I have to go into climate control, WHICH TURNS IT ON, select the seat heaters, and then turn off climate control. If I turn off climate control first, it closes the window…

Who uses seat warmers instead of climate control? I do… it uses way less battery and I don’t really care for hot air.

Admittedly not a helpful reply…and now I appreciate your point. However, with HVAC, are you sure that heat uses more kW than resistance-heated seats?

Seat heaters use MUCH LESS battery than HVAC.

Seat heat 2x = 0.4mph drain

HVAC 82° = 18-20mph drain

I live in California… I like to hit the rear defogger sometimes without turning on HVAC. This is annoying.

Are there any like quick control pop ups for these?

I really miss the seat heater icon on the passenger side. My wife always turned on the passenger side heater when she is in the car. I think it is not supposed to be on when no one is sitting there, but I remember one time I put my backpack there and it was warm when I got to work. I wasn't paying attention to the heated seat icon. From that point on, I always check to see if all the heated seats are off before I start driving. Now I have hit an extra button to do that. I also missed the dashcam icon. Sometime the dashcam will stop recording (grey dot) because I am using an older USB drive. So time to time, I will check it to see if it is still working. Now I have to hit an extra button to check that as well.

Voice commands?

This is the only thing I’ve found that works. I say “driver seat heater level 1/2/3” or “driver seat heater low/med/high” to turn on seat heater without HVAC.

I turn on HVAC anyways if there’s other people in the car, so those commands are enough for me.

Ya, mea culpa guys. I had no idea. A definite learning for me in Tesla land. I get claustrophobic when the air isn’t running so couldn’t fathom. However, I told my wife who drives with no climate control regularly for her X. She has massive range anxiety so appreciated the tip given the cold weather impact to her range.
