Vinyl License Plate Specifics?

OK, so time's running out and I need to do something about a front license plate. I'll probably get one of those jobs that attaches to the tow hook socket, but I want to first experiment with a vinyl print and see how long I can go before that doesn't pass muster.

So, do I get a static cling-on thing, or something with adhesive? Should I do something like get a piece of clear bra and put that on first so it's easy to remove? If so, where can I get a piece of 6" x 12" clear bra material?

Does Tesla seriously not include a front plate mount for Model 3? How does that even happen?

Model 3 comes with double sided stick on plate holders for the front. I guess people are looking for even lower profile versions.

I think it’s illegal in CA.
I was going to do the same for my Lotus but decided not to after reading some postings on vinyl license plates. It could turn into a lot more than a fix it ticket

I also would like to know where to get one. I have seen one other non stick version on the Model 3 Owners club Youtube, but still want something very slim if not invisible that i only display when parking (automatic)

I have one for my Roadster, and it's pretty good (no lock for horizontal alignment is my only complaint). They don't have Model 3 listed yet.
