Voice control is pants

Just been out to sit in mine and test the VC. With no issues, I was able to say things like "turn on rear left heated seat", or "open quick controls" etc. It both correctly understood the words I used and performed the action
Those normally work ok.
Ask it to call somebody. Message somebody or navigate somewhere.

OK, define "pants" for us over here. In context it sounds like it may mean "bad," but to what extreme?

I have noticed too. Since the last update, the voice command has become pretty useless.
Some of you probably disagree with this but in my opinion, Tesla will do much better to concentrate on getting every day complaints of M3 sorted instead of gimmicky auto pilot obsession.
They could used google speech recognition as they already use google navigation. Google and Siri are both much better system than Tesla voice recognition.

My issue with Tesla's implementation of voice commands is its reliance upon a strong cell signal. Most of my driving is in locations with little to no AT&T cellular coverage.

The problems could be due to everyone at home and online which is putting the mobile networks under strain
I’ve already previously stated it’s still pants when used in my garage 2ft from a 200MB WiFi router.

The best solution I found was to buy an Apple Watch and use that instead for calls, works every time for me now like it used to when I first got the car!

If you say to your Apple Watch “hey Siri call Paul Jones” it will make the call and route it via the Tesla audio system provided your phone is paired to the car.
Interesting. I have Siri enabled on phone and watch, the phone usually responds to Hey Siri. That’s why I asked what @Rooster6655 was doing.
