Walking in to delivery location without an appointment

Hey guys wanted to ask if it’s possible to walk into the delivery center without a specified time slot.

The DS and sales reps from Tesla review the forum from time to time and know who I am so just to stay anonymous I created a new account. Anyways my delivery specialist hasn’t been keeping me in the loop even when I’ve reached out and called the customer support for my local service center I’ve been put on hold for hours and keep getting disconnected or on the line for almost three hours !

The only updates I’ve recieved were from my Tesla account and even those are not updated correctly.

Long story short I called the wrong customer support line (model 3) and they had a 15 min hold line and they were able to update me on my delivery date and informed me that my car will be there at that location but informed me there was no scheduled time slot for pick up.

She said it was okay to pick it up but I’m not really sure if anyone has done a pick up at the delivery location with no appointment.

So I guess my question is if anyone has done that and what are the wait times like ?

they will most likely turn you away. there is a process and paperwork that needs to be done to deliver a car, not to mention detailing the car as well.

Why anonymous though? do you think tesla employees will sabotage your car if you speak about them online? if they're too busy to read emails they're too busy to browse TMC to see who's talking smack.

Actually I recieved some adjustments with issues related from the updated price book so I wasn’t allowed to talk about that on the forums otherwise I was afraid they would get them removed if I complained too much ha .

sneaky sneaky haha. I can see why though. if one tesla owner says "they did this and this for me" then everyone would ask for the same. Like that guy who got someone $40k off inventory models and got canned by tesla for it.

Until they know something , they know nothing. Stop being an impatient, high touch customer. Realize that there are a few hundred thousand people in the same position that you are and every single request you initiate will generally slow the overall process .

While I would normally agree, I ran into some issues with the timing of my delivery that made it challenging to coordinate transportation to pick up (I wasn't trading in a car). In the end it was fine, but it made for some stressful days of "it could be this weekend (very preferable) or this Monday (required complete expensive changes of commuting plans)." Fortunately, my DS did keep me updated, but it took a few times of pinging him before he started to do so.
