It is not. The connector used is Tesla Proprietary

Yes, you just need an adapter. I have a TeslaTap so that I can charge my PHEV at Tesla chargers, and I've tried it on my Wall Charger and it works. There are far more opens and other companies making these adapters now and the new ones look way better than the old one I have.
