Because after spending $150k+ on two Tesla's, the $500 for a wall charger isn't a huge deal. Plus after a few hundred times of pulling out the travel charger and winding it back up I'm sure it will start to wear and need replaced.

Exactly! That Portable Charger is all I'll have if I'm on the road and away from SuperChargers. It's the only thing getting me home, so I want it to be in my car and in perfect shape. I don't want to be leaving it out all night every night, and possibly getting lazy enough to leave it home.
