Was supposed to take delivery tomorrow but was delayed due to damage found.

So another update: I got an e-mail back and they are supposedly replacing the entire door including the motor.

And I got a message from my Owner Advisor - she offered to have built a brand new one with a late August delivery.

Should I take the new one?

I would personally. Up to you if you can wait

I went ahead and accepted the offer for a new build. And I was wondering about that...

What do they do with the repaired vehicle?

Would Tesla do something as shady as essentially giving me the same vehicle but just somehow changing the VINs?

Nope ...u will get a new car ...and ur original may be offered up as inventory model

They could use it as a loaner car. Maybe a demo car. Maybe sell it as a "used" car. It'd be illegal to sell it as a new car, I believe, after replacing a panel so I doubt they'd do anything shady.
