So, I just recently replaced my Model X wheels/tires from the 22" Turbines to the 20" slipstreams.

Everything went fine and I even inspected everything on the wheel well and suspension while the tires were off. Today while bringing the trash cart inside, I found the two items (washer and what looks like a retaining ring?) on the garage floor.

Does anyone happen to know where these might be from? I found them by the rear driver side area. I didn't hear anything drop or notice anything out of the ordinary during the wheel/tire changing process.

    Thanks,

I don't know, but you better find out.

You could dig through the parts catalog. Or stop by a service center and see if you can ask a mechanic.

I personally would not drive it until I found out. It might be harmless or serious.

BTW that snap ring looks a little sprung which is probably why it popped off.

There isn't usually that wide a gap between the two holes.

Keep in mind it could have been a delivery vehicle or other visitors.

Note: When you jack the car up you do stress the suspension by fully extending it. So chances are you did trigger it popping off (but it was probably defective to begin with).

Figured it out! Turned out to be from the floor jack. I wasted a good hour checking the wheel well and searching the service manual. . No wonder they looked so new.
