Web Browser Doesn't Work

Even when parked, I can never get any web sites to load on the built-in web browser. Is there something I'm doing wrong. I've tried both on Wi-Fi and LTE. All other connectivity seems to work perfectly. Even tesla.com doesn't load. There's no error message, just a completely blank page.

Yes. The same. Until the next time I try it and it works. And then it stops working.

Just google'd it, seems very common. The "two finger reboot" may help, I'll try that and respond back. Mine has never worked despite trying a dozen or so times.

Very, very common. Reboot does fix it but that's silly to have to do that just to use the browser.

Mine will often go from working to not working and back to working without any reboot. Just turning the car "off", getting out, and sometimes the next time I get back in, it works.

I guess that's a lot better than rebooting but still seems silly to have to do that.

Same issues here...Sometimes works well with wifi, but does not work at all wit LTE. Ok, I may have got access to Google once, but that was a while back. So what does Tesla have to say?

My browser doesn’t come on unless I do the reset procedure about 80% of the time. I’ve also found that when on WiFi, the success of connecting is greater. From there, when I drive away (once verified that I can access the web) and drive away... It’ll usually still work under LTE.

When the web browser is broken, the car manual is also broken. They probably share the same code base.

My decidesnon it’s own when it wants to work and when it doesn’t. It chooses its own when it like to do work. Like a teenager.

You are not doing anything wrong - The Model 3 browser is just buggy as hell. Until the v9 release the back button would close the browser rather than take you back a page (Glad they finally fixed that one.) As other have stated, it seems the only option to get the browser to work "for a short while" is the two-button reboot, which I will often do at the first thought of wanting to use the browser just in case.

Really wish Tesla would hold off with the superfluous "Easter Eggs" that generally offer no meaningful utility and refocus on getting more bugs out of their existing code base. "Toilet Humor" - Seriously?

I find if I play Lunar Lander, the Browser fails to work afterwards. I then reboot the screen and the browser comes back. Guess that's a "Feature". If you want to play games, then serious work will cost you.

Before trying the reboot, I have it a shot again and it worked. So definitely seems flaky!

Same here. The browser not working for me means the firmware release notes and car manual won't display either - just a blank white screen.

I'm on version 44.2 and it is working much better then the a couple updates ago. I just wish that it would save my Twitter Username and Password.

I did a hotspot to my iPhone and the car web browser worked very fast...

Seems like the speed is very limited on our model 3 lte

Has anyone seen this combo? On wifi, external web pages work fine, but it won't load a simple page hosted on my local network, even by IP.

I am a model 3 running 2018.42.3

We just got a Model 3 (with 46.2) about a week ago and the web browser doesn't work most of the time...
It's not reliable on the Model S either, but it does works most of the time.

46.2 don’t work all the time with browser but does work more then it did with 42.x that I had. Good sign it’s getting better lol.

I found that, at least when parked (haven't tried it while moving), that if I turn off or pause Slacker, the browser loaded faster. Give it a minute to load. I think Slacker uses a lot of LTE broadband.
