Weird wrinkles in headrest

I have these weird creases suddenly appear in the headrest leather. Anyone else get this? What could be done to correct this?

Looks like it was exposed to heat, expanded and the adhesive underneath gave up

I'd give it a deworming pill !


But really it could be heat related, but I bet someone touched it with something 'corrosive' on their hands, or yes, hair car products maybe

I believe it’s hair care products and/or regular wet hair.

I bought a replacement on eBay. The headrest comes out on our 2018 3.

I also called around and found a leather repair shop that said they could recover it with a more durable material for around $200.

Not either of those in my case. I don't use any product, nor am I usually wet. Hair is short. My best guess is heat. I was curious how common this is. Is this something covered under warranty?

Couldn’t get ours covered under warranty. Quite a few complaints here years ago. Haven’t seen many recently. Search “headrest” or similar.

I don't leave it in my hair to that it transfers in significant amounts to a seat. I have short hair, rinse the shampoo thoroughly, then dry with a towel. I'm not from the Soul Glo family in Coming to America.
