It would depend on the type of apocalypse. If it was a manmade EMP, or an 1859-type solar flare, it might fry anything with a computer or electric wiring.
I am sure Elon is on top of that. Why would he have Tesla Armor Glass on the Semi that can withstand a nuclear blast, if that blew out the 1" microchip that allows the vehicle to move? Couldn't you just shield it with chickenwire connected to ground?

That's actually in the range of other studies and data - in introducing the Volt a decade ago, GM pointed to NHTSA study data that said that 80% of driving days are less than 40 miles for US drivers.

Of course, most folks don't buy cars to cover 80% of their (often imagined) needs...
