What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas as Sin City’s SuperChargers are packed!

Planning a road trip to Vegas and checked in on the SC situation there near the strip…it’s packed!

Granted this is from 10pm on a Saturday night but still…insane!

Also seeing a V2 SCer at $0.56/kWh - new record for me.

I would also note that price is 11 cents per kWh from midnight to 4 AM. It pays to be a night owl in Vegas.

Seems like that might even be less than the average residential rate in Las Vegas. Any locals want to comment on if that is true ?

Tesla has implemented variable pricing to level out demand. Go when it is not crowded and save some $.

Seems like a 5 minute wait is not the end of the World.

Huge peak to average problem in Las Vegas.
Packed on weekends from Californians out for a hedonistic weekend. Nearly empty during the week except for conventions and out-of-town vacationers.
Eventually every hotel parking spot (there are plenty of them) will have an L2 charging station.

Yeah - the spread from $0.11 - $0.56 is the largest I've seen so far. I'm not surprised a spread exists but am a bit taken aback by the range of the spread.

What caught me off guard was the even with the added capacity TSLA added to LAS, it still filled up on a Saturday night.

As an FUSC'er I'd almost wish TSLA would jack rates up even further! Help thin out the crowd and/or raise $$$ for more SC installs.



PS - any TotalReward Diamonds here? Love that free parking perk at the Linq SCer.

FUSC + Diamond/Free Parking + a walk on the strip is a great way to spend an hour...or overnight on their L2s.

They opened a new Supercharger on Tropical Parkway in Centennial Hills (NW, near 215 and 95) a couple of months ago. It is full almost all the time from 6 am to 9 pm. LV is packed with Teslas, certainly more chargers are needed here.

Just caught they’ve got a 48 stall install going in on 215. Curious to see how well this ameliorates demand once online.

The 80 stalls under construction will nearly double the capacity in metro Vegas, so induced demand aside, Vegas will be pretty well served, never mind all the other sites still in permit phase.

Local commenting, Henderson, NV: Time of use (TOU) is a 12 month contract. Off-peak, 10pm - 8am ...10¢/kWh. Otherwise 16¢/kWh.

Just got back from Vegas yesterday. Last time I was there was 2021 and now there are so many supercharger sites now! It was a slow weekend, and every site has 2 digits slots opened. I charged for like 5 min at South Premium Outlet area just so I have enough juice to get to Primm to charge. I didn't know Primm outlet is pretty much a ghost town now. I was planning to shop there while charging. The entire outlet has like 3 or 4 stores left open. Primm casino also seems dead. There are more Tesla there charging than the rest of the cars in that parking lot combined.

Also the Barstow supercharger is huge. It was not there last time I drove to Vegas. There was like 57 slots opened. Some of those were Tesla connectors though not superchargers.
