Wait the TRUNK HAS LIGHTS?!?!? I never put the two together, I just use my phone light to see in the dark, it never dawned on me that my car should have trunk lights...
Looks like 2 service center visits in the near future.
I would just absolutely HATE IT if I had to get a loaner car to get some trunk lights fixed.
Until this post, I never knew my trunk had lights. Will mention it to the service center during next visit.
I picture is with the abstract ocean lights installed. They’re 16x brighter than the factory oem. I highly recommend them. Google for the ride the lighting promo code.

Yeah pretty easy. I got the package that includes 7 bulbs. 2 for the trunk. 4 for the puddle lights for the doors. And 1 for the glove compartment. I’ve done them all besides the glove compartment so far. It makes a world of difference.
UPDATE!!!!
I just took my model 3 to the Westmont store here in Illinois.
I suppose its a known issue that for some reason....the lights aren't being connected. The service person knowingly just pulled down each light and connected the wire to it.
I was out of there in 30 seconds.
Maybe Tesla downsized the "Trunk Light Checker" person in Fremont.

The OEM trunk lights are wholly inadequate. Yes mine worked, but you had to look at the light to know it was on. The black trunk liner suck up what little light they put out. Abstract Ocean here I come.

Well, mine are out too LOL. Maybe it’s westmont that’s not connecting them? I’m pulling groceries out and I’m like, why is it so dark in here? Take out cell phone to make sure I got everything....
