Drove home through a rain storm last, just opened my trunk today

If you have a plastic pry tool you can pry up the plastic trim panel and then get your fingers in there and pull off the trim. It's held on by plastic clips. It will take some force. Then you can see inside. If there is water in there, fold down the seats, close the lid and have a friend douse the trunk lid with a hose while you look all around with a flashlight. That's how you'll find it.

I think I found a few spots where water was getting in they weren’t welded close, I siliconed them with some 10 year outdoor silicone
