White foam sticking out of bottom of car

Hey guys,

I have a 23 M3LR and noticed a piece of white foam sticking out the bottom of my car near the driver side door . See attached pic. Anyone know if that is part of the car or is it a foreign object(road debris) that somehow got stuck in the under carriage?

Car's under warranty. Looks like a manufacturing defect. With the app, do a, "Request service", make it exterior and, maybe, "Other", and put that nifty picture in the request. Dollar says they'll have you bring it in .
