Another thing to try is a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, or other brand of melamine foam.
On my tan leather seats in our Sequoia, I quickly hit the seats with my steam cleaner, then immediately swipe it with a Magic Eraser. 14 years later, and my leather seats are still blue jean dye free.
Usually, I'm able to get the dye off with just the Magic Eraser, but if it's not coming off, a quick dose of the steam cleaner followed by the eraser gets out the difficult spots.
