I held out too but succumbed in the end
I get it that Tesla needs to be more disciplined financially and unfortunately that means for small markets like ours we get a more limited palette. I don’t like it but it is what it is. UK probably buys 5x the number of Teslas we buy. There are hurdle costs to switch production to the variants for each market each time a batch is made, and it’s a fine line between increasing retail price to compensate (at the risk of losing sales) and reducing the palette to minimise production switching costs.The “white-glove” days of Model S and X where market and brand establishment were more important than immediate profitability are well and truly behind us.
