Last November I was waitlisted for a Volt and was put off bylocal salesman asking for a $4,000 “premium” over the list price. I guess I dodged a bullet on that one . . .now the same lot is discounting them! Tesla appears to have a vastly superior product (technology, engineering,“update-ability”) with innovative, transparent marketing and responsive managementto boot. Local Coal/Wind/Hydro/CH4verses foreign oil, ( ANY OIL !) and the S will integrate well with my 4.4 KW solar. The USA jobs is a plus. Living out in a big square Western state, thesuperchargers don’t figure in. (yet) Didn’treserve until mid July, so as 10,000+ in line, I should be able to devise away to pay for it by next summer when my (space) ship arrives. In the meantime I’ll ride the electricscooter as much as possible, and catch up on all this forum diversion.
