Why I believe Tesla will Sell an incredible number of Model 3's

The base car will have a low cost of entry, yet you will be able to add or unlock features later on via software purchases.

Don't want autopilot at first, no problem. Change your mind a year later, no problem, Tesla will unlock the feature for a fee.

Tesla just developed a revenue stream within the aftermarket sector. Pretty cool. It makes sense to manufacture one platform then if someone wants the additional features they can pay for them later on.

You mean making swappable add-on modules for the 3?

What I meant was, every Model 3 will come off the production line with the same sensors and equipment.

If at some point you want a feature you did not purchase initially such as supercharging or auto steer or a quicker acceleration all that you would need is to purchase a software update.
