I think the Model S has a lot of room for improvement in terms of in-cabin storage. Racks at the inside part of the doors, storage under the armrest as this thread suggests etc. I for one always keep a pack of gum in my car, keys because I hate carrying them around in my pockets whole day, (looks bulky) accessories for a few electronics, sunglasses, a place to put my phone while driving, I hate keeping it in my pocket.
I don't own a Model S right now as they don't operate officially where I live and I wouldn't risk(couldn't afford) importing from a different country buy, from the couple of test drives I took, these are my observations.
