Why The Discrepancy In Wh/mi Between My Car And The App?

When I bring up Trips>Lifetime it shows 4693 miles, 1171 kWh for 249 Wh/mi. But when I bring up charge stats on my Tesla app it shows, 4693 miles, 1419 kWh for 302 Wh/mi? I am perfectly happy with the 302 wH/mi. I track my electric usage as closely as possible and I am pretty sure the latter is accurate - so what's the use of the number the car shows me? Surely that's not all charging loss between my electrical panel (or supercharger) and the car while charging (17.5%)? Not fooling anyone I assume...

The trip computer only reports energy spent in Drive. There is energy spent in Park for various reasons and that's not included. Charge stats should show all the energy that was put into the battery. That means it has to cover for all spending.
