Most likely. Even if the center display / MCU was still running, the power to the USB port/ memory stick was probably turned off.

Aftermath...

Hmm...going to be a close one. At least the quarter panels appear less damaged than expected. Hard to tell if they are deformed a little or not.

Anyway, be sure to get that DoV claim submitted after they repair it, if they decide to go ahead with it. At least you have your expectations set right for the length of repair! Should be less than 6 months for sure. You won't be disappointed with the speediness of the turn around if that's your expectation!

You might want to write a note to Monroe and Associates (the guys who said Tesla should have constructed the trunk out of a single "bathtub" sheet metal stamping vs. all the welded sub-assemblies they pieced together at a higher cost). You can ask him if he thinks the construction of the rear of the car had anything to do with the lack of serious injuries sustained by your wife.

They would never admit they were wrong, they are paid off by big automakers to talk down Tesla any way they can.
