In theory, yes. In practice, I believe the difference is so small that it will be lost in the noise, statistically - overwhelmed by the details of operating temperatures and cycles and aging.

Tesla's guidance has been that charging to a level below 90% vs charging to 90% won't make a measurable difference for degradation.

I don't know enough to evaluate that scientifically, but the anecdotal evidence on the forum seems to support it.

Charging 75kWh to 90% is same as software-limiting to 70kWh. Infact, 70kWh will have slightly more charging cycles per year as range is less.
