Will Tesla Refuse To Jack Up Car With Aftermarket Wheels?

I'm in the process of getting some new wheels for my car and I seem to recall reading somewhere that Tesla will refuse to jack up cars that have aftermarket wheels and therefore it was recommended to keep the OEMs in case the car needed to be put on a lift? Is this true or even possible??

Thats not true. Mine has after market wheels that too an unsupported size (22"). They did the warranty work on it in Dec 2018.

I temporarily had aftermarket wheels on my previous MS and they did warranty work that required removal of the wheels with no rebuttals about it.

I think some service centers won't switch you to non-Tesla wheels, but they have always been fine working on a car that already has them as far as I know.

But they will not change the tire if it's an after market wheel. It happen to me 3 weeks ago. Got towed to the tire place to get it fixed.

My SC not only never had an issue with my wheels (see signature line) , but heated and formed the plastic liners in front to prevent them touching the tire at 45° wheel angle.. for free, just of goodwill.

Those nasty rumours may be made up by VW or Audi
